A dress is a dress is a dress, is NOT the case for Nicole Miller and her well-established label.
Amidst a jam-packed audience that included Joe Zee, Robbie Meyers and a slew of other well-heeled fashionistas, Miller showed a hip and contemporary collection, today, at the tents.
As with her two previous collections, Miller has -again- continued down the path of breaking from the norm; she's world-renown for her signature cocktail dresses and frilly pieces, but the Miller brand has been more 'cutting-edge' of recent... and we like it :)
For fall, Miller offered a sophisticated urbanista to her followers, replete with knit-skull caps, cashmere hoodies and camouflage! As well, there were padded vests, charmeuse shirts, and -her new signature- asymmetrical dresses.
Moreover, being that Miller was amongst the first crop of designers to show during the week, she did well to acknowledge the death and impact of Alexander McQueen and his aesthetic on the fashion industry:
