Wam... Bam... GRAMMY Mam!!!

One night only...

It surely was for Mrs. Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and a slew of other female artists at last night's 52nd Annual Grammy Awards. Beyoncé led the pack with 10 nominations (the most ever received by a solo female artist), and she won 6 awards (again, the most ever received by a solo female artist).

During her acceptance speech for "Halo" (Best Female Pop Vocal Performance), she FINALLY acknowledged to the world that YES, she is indeed married to none other than Mr. Shawn Carter, Jay-Z, she said, "I'd like to thank all of my family for their support, including my husband. I love you.," looking in his direction as the camera panned-in on a shocked Jay-Z.

Moreover, STYLE 101: is very excited to note that Ms. Rebecca Naomi Jones, one of 2009's breakout stars from Spike Lee's Passing Strange (see our August 2009 article), not only performed live onstage but OPENED for the smashing anthem to Green Day's award-winning "21 Guns." This March Jones will be starring as a cast member in the new Broadway musical American Idiot, based on Green Day's former eponymous album.

The evening's other winners included Taylor Swift (Album of the Year), Rihanna/Jay-Z/Kanye West (Best Rap/Sung Collaboration), and Maxwell (Best Male R&B Vocal Performance).
