Daisy Lewellyn shows us how to shop smart, spend less, and look your best EVER!
On Tuesday, May 4th, 2010, fashion-guru and style expert, Lauren Daisy Lewellyn, gave birth to her first child... no, not the human kind, but rather the reader-friendly kind, in the form of her newly released, soon-to-be nationally bestselling book.
The launch of Lewellyn's style-guide, Never Pay Retail Again: Shop Smart, Spend Less, And Look Your Best Ever (Simon & Schuster, 2010), was celebrated with an A-list party held at designer Tracy Reese's flagship store in the ultra-chic meatpacking district of New York City.
Lewellyn, the fashion industry's 'Queen of Effortless Chic,' was feted by the designer herself, along with Alicia Keys' wardrobe stylist Wouri Vice, Real Simple magazine's Julee Wilson, and InStyle magazine's Joyann King; other event attendees included notable fashionistas from Teen VOGUE and Paper magazine, with music provided by Nylon magazine's own Rajni Lucienne Jacques.

In conjunction to Lewellyn being all things fabulous, I also have the pleasure of calling her a dear friend... Back in 2000, we both matriculated into the Fashion Institute of Technology, and she has since gone on to accomplish great things within the fashion world. She's been a top-billing editor for publications such as InStyle, Essence, Marie Claire, and Glamour magazine, and has also appeared nationally on television programs such as The Learning Channel's "Dinner Takes All", the Rachel Ray show, the CBS Early Show, The Today Show, and Good Morning America.
