From Friday, April 29th, 2011 to Monday, May 2nd, 2011... it was ALL about the late, Sir Lee Alexander McQueen!
After a tragic, suicide death last February, McQueen's archived collections have been garnering worldwide attention, and the interest hit an all-time-high this past weekend, during the royal wedding of Prince William of Wales and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge; she wore a long-sleeved lace-gown crafted by McQueen's creative director Sarah Burton.
And then, to top it all off... The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute recently opened its new, fashion exhibit dedicated to the late designer, Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty.
If the name of McQueen was neither heard of nor uttered before, there's no doubt that his name is now immortal... being spoken of all-over-the-world!
*** The Costume Institute's 'McQueen' exhibit will be open to the public from May 4 - July 31, 2011.
All Hail McQueen!!!
