Battingly beautiful, was Christian Siriano for Fall/Winter 2012. As the lights dimmed -just before the start- at Siriano's show, the audience waited in anticipation of the 26-year-old designer's inspiration; bats... more specifically, the 1930’s film “The Vampire Bat.”

Siriano revealed dramatic looks with intricate fabric treatments that mirrored bat veins and bat-bone structures. The models took flight on the runway, in deep-red lips (that almost appeared black), wearing wing-sleeved sheath dresses, black, snaked tuxedo jackets, silk cami's and trousers... with additional, stunning, satin bat-vein inspired dresses, to perpetuate his theme.

The edgy collection maintained a few Siriano staples, including his trumpet gown (seen in gathered tulle), along with a textured, cropped motorcycle jacket paired with a crème-colored, flowing ball gown (which gained nods of approval from the audience).

Siriano (a Maryland native), drew a star list of front row attendees, whom included former Rachel Zoe alum, Brad Goreski (from Bravo TV’s “It’s a Brad, Brad World”), actress Mena Suvari, and star of the film “Precious,” Gabourey Sidibe.

To sum up Siriano's collection in one phrase... It was totally wearable!
