For its 19th cycle, Tyra Banks' reality TV show, America's Next Top Model, returned today with a new dimension added to the program...
Well, make that several, new dimensions; Banks publicly received fan backlash after she cut ties with three of the show's, original panelists/judges, Mr. Jay (Manuel), Miss J. (Alexander), and Mr. Nigel Barker (noted, fashion photographer).

In addition to the show returning to the CW television network (airing on Friday's at 8:00 PM, ET), Banks has opened-up voting to the public (yes, that means YOU, the viewer can now decide which contestants stay in the competition or go home), and she's replaced the abovementioned cast members with celebrity, fashion stylist Johnny Wujek, noted, fashion blogger Bryan Boy and male supermodel, Rob Evans (while still employing fashion PR maven, Kelly Cutrone).

For this season's program, the theme is centered around college student contestants, as this is partly because of Banks' recent attendance and graduation from Harvard Business School; she's always felt -and shown the world- that brains and beauty do go together.

Moreover, all of the previous perks reserved for the winner of the show (i.e. an editorial with VOGUE Italia, a contract with IMG Models, etc.), are all out the window... in place, are new perks that include a spread in Nylon magazine, a contract with LA/NY Models and being named the face of the new, ANTM fragrance, "Dream Come True."
Only time will tell, if devoted, ANTM fans will warm up to Banks' new deal, or if the plug will be finally pulled on her 'smizing' empire :-/
