WELCOME TO CLASS...

SALLY SINGER

T-bagged

As surprising as the fashion industry is, no one could have guessed -coming on the heels of New York Fashion Week- that one of the industry's brightest stars would be exiting a major publication...

Women's Wear Daily reported -today- that Sally Singer will be leaving her post as Editor of T magazine, The New York Times' fashion, style and design bible. Singer (who became widely popular and likable due to her appearance in the 2009 film, The September Issue), left VOGUE magazine in 2010, to head the staff at T, adding former, VOGUE colleagues, Danko Steiner (as Creative Director), and Elissa Santisi (as Fashion Editor), to the T masthead, as well.

Singer (who is Yale-educated and very adamant about fashion not being the whole of her existence), got her start as a book editor in London (before going to work for British VOGUE, New York and Elle). The New York Times issued the following statement about Singer's departure:

It's uncertain, as of yet, who will replace Singer. For more information about Singer and her career in the fashion industry, I highly recommend you read the 2009 interview she did with Media Bistro ---> click here.
