With a tough, yet re-luxed, militaristic look for Spring/Summer 2013, William Okpo presented a collection that gave the slightest hint(s) of man -rather woman- versus nature...
*presented on Tuesday, September 11th, 2012.
The Okpo label (designed by sisters Lizzy and Darlene Okpo), has a history of forging together masculine and feminine qualities within each collection, and this season proved to be no different, save for the focus on nature.
The show mellowed the guests with soothing music... and models strut to their position where they hold a motionless, complacent pose. As music streams, the crowd is able to get up, close and semi-personal with the models dressed in chambray and denim with cream/orange combos. Playsuits, dresses, and casual suits. Cupcakes and Drinks kept the attendees busy as they deciphered the looks, one by one.
The label says that the appeal of the oranges on the set, represented an "...international market with an organic farm vibe... designed by Elise Durbecq of Opening Ceremony... as an earthy setting... inspired by the average New York girl who walks the streets looking effortlessly cool and knowing so, keeping both inimitable style and comfort in mind."
